Das joins SACS as School’s first postdoctoral fellow

Debashis Das, Ph.D., is the School of Applied Computational Sciences first postdoctoral fellow. He is working with Uttam Ghosh, Ph.D., associate professor, cybersecurity.

Dr. Das’s research expertise has been applied in several domains, including cybersecurity, network security, and privacy-preserving applications such as health care data security and privacy-aware data management.

“Dr. Das has made research contributions in innovative methodologies that are poised to shape the future of health care and data security,” say Dr. Ghosh. “He is also engaged in various projects funded by NSF, an important source of grant funding for our school.”

“I am delighted to join the SACS academic community, and to learn from Dr. Ghosh, who is dedicated to elevating standards in research and education,” says Dr. Das.

“I look forward to collaborating with my new SACS colleagues on groundbreaking initiatives that push the boundaries of healthcare knowledge and innovation.”
