Dr. Uttam Ghosh, associate professor of cybersecurity, is featured in a WKRN news article about cyberattacks in health care. He describes the different types of cyberattacks and the great risks they present to the health care industry. Dr. Ghosh recently received a $60,000 grant from CAE-Cybersecurity Education Diversity Initiative to create a lab and classroom, Data-Driven Intelligence and Security for Cyber-Physical Systems (DISCS), that will have the hardware and software necessary for cybersecurity in health care research.

Uttam Ghosh, Ph.D., has received a 2023 – 2024 Faculty Research Initiative grant from the TMCF and the Novartis US Foundation to develop an app that will help predict heart disease. The Fore❤️Care app has potential to greatly impact the African American community, where heart disease is a significant concern.
