The School of Applied Computational Sciences welcomes two new members of its faculty and staff – Uttam Ghosh, Ph.D., associate professor of cybersecurity, and Alessandra Jones, associate dean of business and finance.

“I am delighted to have both Dr. Ghosh and Jones join our school community,” says Fortune Mhlanga, dean of the School of Applied Computational Sciences. “Dr. Ghosh’s expertise in cybersecurity opens a new area of research that is also of great interest to our students. Jones will provide essential financial leadership as our school continues to grow.”

Dr. Ghosh most recently served as assistant professor of practice in the Computer Science Department at the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering where he received the 2018 – 2019 Junior Faculty Teaching Fellow.

Jones was previously the director of financial, global and domestic programs in the Office of Strategic Initiatives and Innovation at Meharry Medical College.
