Nadine Shillingford, Ph.D., joined Meharry SACS in January 2023. She holds extensive academic experience and has held several security engineering roles in retail, health care and other industries. She most recently served as senior security engineer, project manager, chief diversity advocate at Stage 2 Security.
Dr. Shillingford is passionate about working with data and is a SplunkTrust member and a Splunk architect. She is well versed in the design, implementation, configuration and troubleshooting of Splunk deployments for large-scale retail, health care and security systems. She also has a special interest in using Splunk for social impact. She is the author of the book Data Analytics with Splunk 9.x, which is available for purchase on Amazon.
Her career includes significant diversity initiatives. In academia, Dr. Shillingford participated in multiple outreach programs with the goal to encourage females and other underrepresented groups to pursue STEM careers. As chief diversity advocate at Stage 2 Security, she helped build the company’s diversity program. In that role she was responsible for the overall diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and played a major role in the conception, development and implementation of strategies with the company.
