Troy Tazbaz, senior vice president for Oracle’s Industry Business Unit, based in San Francisco, Calif., is passionate about leveraging technology to enable medical professionals to focus on medical care and drive better patient outcomes.
In his current role, Tazbaz has responsibility for the company’s industry strategy function supporting the evaluation of industry-specific regional dynamics, product requirements, and market planning and orchestration across product development and go-to-market teams. Since joining Oracle, he has established the global data center strategy expanding Oracle’s data center investments for cloud offerings and has been instrumental in driving Oracle’s transition from product to service organization.
Tazbaz’s work in health care started with representing Oracle at the White House’s Blue Button Initiative on US health care record standardization. Subsequently, he incubated and launched a new health care business unit at Oracle that focuses on accelerating transformational technology adoption to optimize and drive improvements and outcomes across the health care value chain.
He has led the formation of a health care innovation team that worked on strategic initiatives such as pandemic response systems that were used by several governments to manage the COVID-19 response and vaccine rollout. Additional projects ranged from the development of pathogen analysis systems, AI/ML enabled regenerative medicine, and the integration of genomics into applications focused on data driven care.
Tazbaz received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in business administration from San Diego State University.
